Everything That You Need
Mulehalla is located at mm 88.1 along the great Potomac River in Washington County. Nestled on a scenic, secluded property, just steps off the C&O Canal towpath in Williamsport, Maryland, Mulehalla is in close proximity to popular tourist attractions such as Antietam Battlefield, downtown Shepherdstown, and the Potomac River.
McMahon's Mill located at Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Historical State Park is a short walk away from the campground. Built in 1778, the Mill was a grist mill that used a steel wheel to generate electricity in the early 20th century. The Mill building was closed in 1922, but the building and still stands, as well as an additional renovated Mill building onsite at the campground. Mulehalla offers rich history that is perfect for families, couples, and travelers of the canal.

Event Hall

The Event Hall is a beautifully restored log cabin style building with an open deck overlooking the picturesque Mulehalla property. Located off Dam #4 & Dellinger roads, just a few miles from Interstate 81 & Interstate 70, the Hall offers easy access to guests travelling from West Virginia, Virginia or Pennsylvania. The Hall is perfect for birthday parties, family reunions, team-building exercises, and so much more!
Outdoor Band Shell
Available for Rent
The Band Shell is ideal for positioning live music, keynote speakers, food or drink vendors and more, at any outdoor event. Equipped with bathrooms, showers, a grill, and located adjacent to the glamping tent, this open structure is perfect for your special event
Our Campsites
Primitive Campsites
A convenient option for families or groups traveling along the scenic C&O Canal, these sites are popular choices for many campers. All sites are positioned around the campground to maximize privacy. Campsites are equipped with fire pits and there is firewood available onsite (for a nominal fee). Observing the pack-in /pack-out rule of camping, our primitive camping is perfect for those who have their own gear, i.e. tents, cooking equipment. We know you'll enjoy your stay at our Primitive Campsites.
